THE TARGET AUDIENCE
The LST program is designed for use with children in Elementary school through Middle and Junior High school.
THE PURPOSE OF THE PROGRAM
- The program is intended to provide students with the necessary skills to resist social (peer group) pressures to smoke, drink alcohol and use illegal drugs.
- Students receive guidance to develop greater self-esteem, self-mastery, and self-confidence.
- Children are enabled to effectively cope with social anxiety.
- The program also increases children’s knowledge to the immediate consequences of substance use.
